Bread Dough and Uncooked Lox Meat Pie can both be made with the cauldron, but they will need to be placed in an Oven afterwards to actually cook. Players can still craft Lox Meat Pie and Bread, but will need to take some extra steps now. You’ll only need to collect the following:īear in mind that you’ll need to be near a forge to craft the Iron Cooking Station. The Iron Cooking Station has five hooks for meat, but requires two fires to keep it stoked.įor being able to cook five items at a time, it doesn’t break the bank either. While this is still true, Lox meat and Serpent meat can now only be cooked on an Iron Cooking Station. The standard Cooking Station is placed over a fire and allows players to cook two meat items at a time. ![]() There were also some changes to how certain ingredients, like cooked meats, are made. The Iron Cooking Pot will expand your culinary capabilities. In order to increase the Cauldron’s level, you’ll need to place a Cauldron upgrade near it. Now they will need both the ingredients and the right level of Cauldron. Previously, all cooking recipes were available in the Cauldron so long as the player had the right ingredients. Now, cooking functions a lot more like other crafting systems in the game, as can be seen with the Cauldron. Hearth and Home has completely redesigned Valheim’s food system, as well as how food is cooked. Cauldron Upgrades in Valheim Hearth and Home Record discoveries allows you to transfer your map data to the shared map on the table, and read map updates your personal map with the shared data. The table has two options, one to “record discoveries” and another to “read map”. You can build the Cartography Table as long as you’re near a standard workbench - no upgrades are required. The Cartography Table solves this, allowing players to share their maps with ease. You could ping a location on the map and it would appear for other players, but it wouldn’t reveal the area to them. Before the Hearth and Home update, however, there was no way for players to share their maps with one another. Each player has their own map that gets filled out as they explore. You’ll also need a forge to craft it around.Īnother big win for players’ quality of life is the Cartography Table. If you haven’t found him yet, take a walk around your nearest few black forests and you’ll eventually run into him. Thunderstones are new items sold exclusively by the Trader for 50 coins. Load up the items you wish to destroy, pull the lever, and watch as the gods send down a lightning bolt to do away with your refuse. The Obliterator, as you might have guessed, obliterates trash. Iron Gate has given players just what they need to remedy this, and in a very Viking way. By mid-game, players could easily have entire rooms of chests dedicated to the junk they’d never use. Items chucked out of a player’s inventory wouldn’t despawn unless they were thrown out far away from their base or thrown into the deep ocean. There has been no real way to get rid of unwanted items in Valheim since the game was released. While the Bonemass certainly poses a threat to players mid-game, there’s a far more grave danger that creeps up on them around the same time: trash. The Obliterator is almost as cool as it sounds, and far more handy.
